​It is one of the most interesting web sites I am familiar with to globally explore the different types of vegetation. This website provides you with images of the vegetation found at specific latitudes and longitudes all around the world.

Confluence.org is part of a global effort to be the first person to go to a specific latitude and longitude and to then submit photographs documenting your visit.

I find the images provide a powerful learning experience and give you a chance to travel and see landscapes in a way not possible in GOOGLE EARTH. The website provides supportive materials for our class discussions predicting the spatial distributions of biomes around the world.
