Problem sets are a regular part of this class and are a group-based effort.

Problem sets are a regular part of student assessment throughout the semester. Students will work in groups to complete seven 25-point assignments; each group submits a single assignment via CANVAS. The composition of each group will change with successive assignments (see CANVAS for assignments). Students are expected to engage collectively on their own through CANVAS discussion boards or social video (e.g., GOOGLE HANGOUT, SKYPE, FACETIME, and ZOOM) to work out the completion of the assignments. The objectives here are to learn how to work effectively in groups and to learn something new through the problem set. Random surveys will be asked following each problem set to see if all members of a group participated in the effort.
