As you think about the climate across Earth, please consider what kinds of vegetation appear in different locations. Below is a graphic to help. I suggest basic 11 types of temperature or precipitation regimes that could theoretically exist at a coastal or interior location on a continent. The challenge is, of course, what biomes should occupy that climate space?
